Sarah Silva Peace is an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique who maintains a robust private practice in South/Central Texas. She is well known for her master classes for classical musicians, and is sought after as a clinician, guest lecturer, and corporate wellness consultant. In addition to her Alexander Technique certification, Sarah holds a Masters Degree in Music, emphasis in Vocal Performance.
Sarah’s recent engagements outside of her private practice include work with UCLA Medical, UCLA East-West Medicine, Chapman University Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, California State University Fullerton Conservatory of Music, University of California Irvine Choral Department, California State University Northridge Physical Therapy Department, Orange County School of the Arts, Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, and National Children’s Chorus.
Sarah has worked with Principle Chairs of the Pacific Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Symphony, and the LA Opera orchestra as well as members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, professional studio musicians (instrumental and vocal), and professional actors. Sarah also has experience working with various populations including musicians, actors, artists, athletes, film makers, yoga teachers, martial artists, physical therapists, and children as well as those with anxiety, recent joint replacements, neuropathy, repetitive strain injury, and back pain.
+ Education & Training
Sarah was first introduced to the Alexander Technique during her education at the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music at Chapman University in Orange, California. She continued to study the Alexander Technique all four years of her undergraduate studies at Chapman until she graduated with her Bachelors of Music, emphasis in Vocal performance in 2009.
Sarah then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to pursue her studies in Vocal Performance at Colorado State University, and was concurrently accepted as an Apprentice Artist with Opera Fort Collins. She graduated with her Masters of Music, emphasis in Vocal Performance from Colorado State in 2011, and remained dedicated to her study of the Alexander Technique.
After completing her Master’s Degree, Sarah made the choice to train as an Alexander Technique teacher for three years under the tutelage of Pamela Blanc, Michael Frederick, Sydney Laurel Harris, Lyn Charlsen Klein, Babette Markus, and Frances Marsden at the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles.

Sarah is dedicated to giving back to her community and frequently volunteers at Health Fairs and Wellness Events throughout Southern California. Additionally, she is a past member of the Board for the American Society for the Alexander Technique and has served on faculty at the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles.
